Batboy With Corn Dog (detail) by Kathy Ferrell

Here's another illustration for myWV.net's Myths & Mysteries series. This is a small segment of the piece. It's one of the very first pieces I created with Corel Painter 12. I had so much fun with this one, it's another favorite of mine. If you look closely at BatBoy's bicep, you'll see I used my husband's funny suggestion with the tattoo on his arm! I loved doing this!

The concept is to cool. Batboy with a corndog...I love it. You can't get much more original than that.

Thanks, Sarah! Batboy is West Virginia's version of Gollum, in a way. He lives in a cave, has a horrendous diet and is always having adventures.

This picture reminds me of the Lord of the Ring's character 'Gollum'. There is a big likeness in it. Which is great;)
